Privacy notice

What we collect when you register your interest on this page, why, who handles it for us and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who is responsible

[Access the World Ltd — confirm legal name, company number and registered address] is the data controller for the information you give us on this page. This page is a preview of the full Access the World website, which is still in development, and it is hosted for them by their design studio, OnSeason.

What we collect, and why

If you register a property, we collect your business or property name, your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, the kind of place you offer, the town or region you are in, and roughly how many places you offer. We use it to contact you about listing with Access the World. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract.

If you ask to be kept posted, we collect your name, your email address, and anything you choose to write in the two optional boxes. We use it to email you when the site launches. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box, and which you can withdraw at any time.

Please do not use the optional boxes to tell us about health or medical matters. We do not ask for that here and we have no need of it at this stage. [Confirm how long these notes are kept and when they are deleted.]

Who handles it for us

When you submit a form, two things happen to what you wrote.

  • It is emailed to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service, and is then held in that mailbox.
  • It is written to the server log of Vercel, who host this page, so that a submission is not lost if the email fails to send. Vercel also records standard server logs — your IP address, browser and the pages you asked for — to run and secure the page.

Both companies are based in the United States, so your information is transferred outside the United Kingdom. [Legal review to confirm the transfer safeguard relied on for each — the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.]

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

[Confirm the retention period — for example, 24 months after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner.] Server logs are kept for a short period by Vercel and are not used to identify you.

Cookies and analytics

This page sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking of any kind. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything. The full Access the World site, when it launches, will have its own cookie policy.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, ask us to restrict it, or withdraw your consent. Email us at mail@accesstheworld.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
